He teaches across all five boroughs, Westchester, western Connecticut, and Hoboken. He picks a spot near you based on your skill level and what you want to work on.
Paced to You
No fixed curriculum. Leon reads how you’re doing and adjusts in real time. If something clicks fast, he moves on. If something needs more time, he stays on it.
Any Age, Any Level
3-year-olds learning to stand. 60-year-olds learning to push. Intermediate skaters working on drop-ins. The lesson is built around whoever shows up.
How a Private Lesson Works
You book online or text Leon with what you’re looking for. He picks a spot near you that matches your skill level: flat open ground for beginners, a skate park for intermediate students, or a specific terrain if you’re working on something particular.
If you’re a complete beginner, the first session covers stance, balance, pushing, stopping, and basic turns. Most people are riding by the end of the hour. If you already know the basics, Leon starts with what you can do and builds from there. He watches your form, identifies what’s holding you back, and works on it in real time.
Every lesson is private. Leon doesn’t run group classes as his default, which means you never lose time waiting for other students or following a pace that isn’t yours. If you want to learn with a friend, partner, or your kid, duo lessons are available for a flat rate.

Who Books Private Lessons
Complete Beginners
Kids and adults who have never stepped on a board. A private lesson means no one watching and no pressure to keep up. Leon starts from zero and gets you riding.
Beginner lessons→Parents Booking for Kids
The most common booking. A parent texts Leon, he meets the kid at a park near home, and they spend an hour learning the basics in a safe, one-on-one setting.
Kids lessons→Intermediate Skaters
People who can cruise but want to level up. Drop-ins, ramp riding, specific tricks, or cleaning up form. Leon diagnoses what’s holding you back and works on it in real time.
Adult lessons→Private vs. Group Lessons
Private lessons are $120/hour, and you get Leon’s full attention. Group lessons are $80/person (minimum 2people), and the instruction is shared. Both formats work, but they’re better for different situations.
If you’re a complete beginner, a private lesson is the fastest way to learn. Leon can focus entirely on your stance, your balance, your specific body mechanics. In a group, he splits that attention. If you already ride and just want a fun session with friends, a group lesson gives you the coaching at a lower per-person cost.
