Butler Field
A wide, open field with paved areas around the edges. Leon uses the flat pavement for balance work, pushing drills, and turning practice. Plenty of space for beginners to spread out.
Chase Park
A neighborhood park with smooth paths and a calm setting. Good for younger students who want a low-key spot to practice without distractions.
Crossway Field Area
Open pavement near the field complex. Leon uses this spot when students want more room to work on longer rides and building speed.
What to Expect
Leon’s first question is always what you want to get out of the session. First-timers work on stance, balance, and getting used to the board. Returning students jump back in wherever they left off, whether that’s carving, stopping, or trying new tricks.
Lessons are about an hour. Leon brings boards and helmets. Wear flat-soled sneakers and clothes you can move in. Helmets are required for students under 18.

Private lessons are $120 per hour. The 3-lesson package is $300 ($100 per session), and group lessons are $80 per person with a 2-person minimum. Boards and helmets included.
Leon works with kids starting around age four or five. Early lessons are all about getting comfortable on the board, standing, balancing, and having fun. No pressure.
Nothing besides flat-soled sneakers and comfortable clothes. Leon brings the board and helmet to every session. Bring water on warm days.
If you have a flat driveway or a smooth stretch of pavement nearby, Leon can meet you at home. Otherwise he'll suggest the closest park with good ground for skating.
